Oyabe River Fireworks Festival

In Japan, it simply isn’t summer without fireworks, and here in Oyabe, it’s no different. Each year on August 15, the sky lights up with a thrilling display over the Tsuzawa Bridge, just as it starts to get dark out. Look forward to a long and elaborate show featuring roughly a thousand fireworks and plenty of variety along the way. Don’t forget to arrive early, so you can find a good spot to sit or stand through the show — and so you can check out the food trucks and festival stalls, for delicious treats and fun festival games for all ages.
